Our story
We met on match.com in March of 2006 and after emailing several times we finally met in person on March 14th. Our first date was dinner at Mission, a Latin Restaurant and Lounge, in West Seattle. We were having such a good time that we decided to go play pool at a small tavern (with very few people) across the street. The tavern had a good jukebox and we quickly discovered that we both love Indie music. And it must have looked like we were having fun because someone else in the bar played Barry White for us.
Our second date happened a week later when we saw the band Black Rebel Motorcycle Club play at the Showbox in Seattle. Soon after we started spending more and more of our time together and Heather helped John look for a townhome to buy. In July 2006 we went to Ireland together and learned that we travel well together. Soon after we got back to Seattle, John moved into his townhome in Ballard, where we both currently live.
Since 2006 we have traveled to several spots in Mexico, Nicaragua, Thailand, Oregon, Idaho and New York together. We have seen numerous music shows and have been to the Sasquatch Music Festival at the Gorge in WA twice. We also enjoy playing tennis, hiking, backpacking and snowboarding together and have two cats, Huascar and Raya.
John asked Heather to marry him on June 9th, 2009 (her birthday) and of course she said yes! We are looking forward to our next adventures together as husband and wife.
